Toyota is a Leader in J.D. Power Dependability Rankings
Three Toyota models led their categories in dependability in the 2016 J.D. Power research study. Highest-ranked models in their segment for vehicle dependability included the Toyota Prius v, Sienna, and Tundra.
So how did J.D. Power and Associates determine that Toyota models were leaders in dependability? The research firm’s annual study gathers data from vehicle owners’ reports after three years to determine which models hold up and which do not.
This year’s study showed the overall average number of problems per 100 vehicles to be 152. Toyota ranked fourth overall with just 113 problems per 100 vehicles, which means drivers can rest assured they won’t spend as much time trying to identify and fix problems when they drive a Toyota model.
